OFFICERS
The Executive Council is elected each year and formed from the founders, VP's and from those experienced Master Coaches within the Institutes' Membership. The Executive Council presides over the general running and ruling of the IoEMC in order to maintain best practice, operate as a formal governing body of the institute, as well as to ascertain the required criteria for Associate and Full membership status.
The Membership Council is made up of full members, founders and Executive Council officers it meets monthly to determine the application process and interviews for each new member.
Vice Principles (VP's) are elected for a period of up to five years by the Executive Council and the Executive Membership committee. VP's are responsible for the impartial governing of the membership council, resolving IoEMC membership issues, advising at Executive Council meetings and acting as a central point of contact for all complaints against IoEMC members. VP's have full voting rights on any issues as they are elected from both within the IoEMC membership as well as from the wider fields of Senior Executives across all areas of Industry and Commerce, in order to bring both a balanced and impartial perspective to the actual running of the Institute.
The Founders are, by their very nature non-elected permanent officers, who although have every right to attend Executive Council meetings they do not have voting rights unless, the have been formally elected by the membership itself.
A President is elected each year by the Executive Council, Founders and the membership in order to preside over the Membership Council and the Executive Council. The President has the presiding vote in all cases of the Institutes' business and acts as Arbitrator in any internal / external disputes.
The Membership Secretary does not have voting rights, as an impartial officer he or she is responsible for the compilation of membership applications, communications with all membership with regards to IoEMC business and for the general running of the membership office.
The Programme Director is Elected from within the Executive Council and is responsible for working with both internal and external agencies and suppliers in order to design and provide a wide range of development programmes for the whole of the IoEMC membership.
The Executive Council currently reserves the right not to publish details of its membership or its elected officers in line with the Data Protection Act 1998
N.B. All officers with the exception of the Membership Secretary and the Programme Director are non-paid Executive officers. |
